Frustrated Mariners manager John McLaren was ejected in the second inning by home plate umpire Mark Wegner for arguing balls and strikes, his second ejection this season.

After being shut out for 13 straight innings and scoring just one run in 23 innings, the Mariners will try to get their offense going against Rangers' left-hander Kason Gabbard tonight. The Mariners will start their No. 2 starter, right-hander Felix Hernandez. Hernandez has a 2-2 record with a 3.04 ERA, while Gabbard is 1-0 with a 2.18 ERA.
