effect from 4 pm pst this afternoon through Thursday afternoon. Heavy rain is forecast in the mountains today through Wednesday morning. The snow level will rise to 5000 to 6000 feet over the north cascades and 6000 to 7000 feet for the central cascades during this period. If heavy rain occurs, flooding is possible on virtually all rivers flowing out of the cascades and Olympics. A flood watch remains in effect for all main stem rivers in western Washington. Some uncertainty still exists.
