The Office of Secretary of State is inviting students in grades 4 and 5 to enter the 2012 Kids’ Art Contest. The winning artwork will be featured in the Washington State Voters’ Pamphlet for the 2012 General Election. Last year, there were
3.5 million copies distributed statewide. The winning artist will also receive a surprise visit from Secretary of State Sam Reed at his or her school.
The theme for this year is “If I Could Vote.” This art contest is an opportunity for Washington’s youngest citizens to be a part of elections and think about what they would value as voters. Students enter the contest by submitting their art with an entry form no later than April 16th. For more information: WA Secretary of State Website.
