The United Way of Mason County Asset Building Coalition is pleased to announce that there will be three AARP free tax preparation sites in Mason County this year. Mason County residents who have simple taxes to file are encouraged to
visit AARP free tax preparation sites. This January, Governor Chris Gregoire signed a proclamation encouraging Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) awareness throughout Washington State. More than 20% of Mason County residents who are eligible for EITC do not even file their taxes.
The sites, starting in February will be at:
Shelton Timberland Regional Library
Every Saturday February 4-April 14
11 AM-4 PM, First come, first served
Mason County Senior Activities Center
Every Wednesday February 1- April 11
8 AM-3:30 PM, by appointment only
