Man Injured In Single Car Collision

An Allyn man was injured Monday evening around 11:00 in a single vehicle collision when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway to the right and struck a boulder off the road. His car then spun around and came to rest facing southbound and lying on the driver side of the vehicle. State trooper T. Salverson responded to the scene. Wesley Dumenchuk, the seventy-seven year old man who was driving the car was transported to Harrison hospital while his car was impounded by Northshore towing. Dumencheck was wearing a seatbelt and the extent of his injuries has not been released at this time. No other vehicles or persons were involved in the incident which occurred approximately one and one half miles south of Allyn on highway 3. The cause of the incident is still under investigation as of the time of this writing and charges are listed as "pending" by the Washington state patrol. As of now alcohol is not believed to have been involved.
