On 7/14/1 at about 12:30am officers of the Shelton Police Department were at an apartment complex in the North end of the city on a disturbance call when they heard a female screaming for help. They responded to the apartment where the female had screamed
from and located a 33 year old male who told them that he had been in a disturbance with his live in girlfriend and he had subsequently stabbed her in the throat. The victim (a 32 year old female) was located in another apartment and appeared to be suffering from a wound to the throat. Medics transported her to Mason General Hospital where she was initially treated and then air lifted to Harborview hospital in Seattle. There is no information on her condition at this time. the suspect was arrested on suspicion of felony assault and booked into the Mason County Jail. Detectives are continuing to investigate the case.
