SHELTON COMMUNITY CINEMA FEB 24

by admin
Shelton Community Cinema will screen its monthly Final Friday movie at 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 24 at the PUD No. 3 auditorium, 307 W. Cota Street, Shelton. This Friday’s film is "The End Of The Line", a documentary that reveals the impact of overfishing on our oceans by showing the firsthand effects of our global love affair with fish as food. The film examines the imminent extinction of bluefin tuna, brought on by increasing western demand for sushi; the impact on marine life from a huge overpopulation of jellyfish; and the stark implications of a future world with no fish, now predicted for 2048, which would bring certain mass starvation. "The End Of The Line" was filmed across the world -- from the Straits of Gibraltar to the coasts of Senegal and Alaska to the Tokyo fish marketes -- and is most importantly a wake-up call to the world. .

There is no charge for admission to Shelton Community Cinema, but donations are welcome with proceeds going to SOCK’s (Save Our County’s Kids) youth programs.
