COMMERICAL RADIO PROMOTER; TALKSHOW BOOKER; VENUE BOOKER:  With the 10-year anniversary of Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion, we are now seeking a part-time in-house commercial regular-rotation promoter.  $25/hr, plus charting bonuses that frequently add up to $35/hr.  25 hours per week is needed to begin with, Monday through Friday, and as we become busier there will be more hours available, up to full time.

At least 2 years record promotion experience is needed (indie or label). Knowledge of MB, BDS, R&R and FMQB a must.  Will primarily be promoting independent and unknown artists of all genres and formats to small and unrated commercial regular-rotation stations, and may also help with the promotion of specialty or mixshow spins on major and medium market stations.  Note, however, that you should have experience promoting commercial rotation, not just non-comm, mixshows, pools or street.

In addition to airplay promotion, you will also be helping with the booking of non-music telephone guests on both talk and music stations. People such as independent and unknown writers, public speakers, consultants, and website owners.

Lastly, we have recently added venue booking (for bands) as a promotion that we offer.  So you will also get to call small clubs, bars, restaurants and coffee shops to set up gigs for our booking clients. Record Promotion experience is a priority though, as it is more complex than gig-booking or talk-interviews.  All-in-all, you will be spending your time roughly one-third each on airplay, interviews, and booking.

You must work from our Santa Monica office (all work is by phone/email)... no out-of-office or travelling work.  Must currently live in Los Angeles area (no relocations are offered).  Shifts are very flexible and currently available from 9am to 7pm.  As we become busier we may be opening at 8am or 7am.  Good typing is needed, at least 40 wpm (yes we will need to test it).  You will be doing a lot of emailing, and putting info into reports, so getting it done quickly gives you more time on the phone.  Position is employee status, not independent contractor.

Applications are taken by phone only at 310-998-8305 x98.  No walk ins. Site: www.Radio-Media.com
