SCHOOL AND OTHER CLOSURE/DELAY
REPORTS
POLICE INVESTIGATING RUMOR OF SHOOTING
The Shelton Police Department is investigating a rumor that some one plans
to shoot up the Shelton High School today. Over the weekend, some students
reportedly received text messages about the shooting. Police have checked
with the student who allegedly sent the text message. That student told
investigators no threat was made and the rumor is untrue. However, as a
precaution, there will be an increased police presence at and around the
school today. But again, there is no threat and this is just a rumor.
